Capnography is the vital sign of ventilation and by tracking the patient’s expired CO2 clinicians can evaluate the ventilation condition in assessing and treating the patient.
Continuous monitoring of EtCO2, using capnography is recommended by the AAGBI (Anaesthetic Association of Great Britain & Ireland), EBA (European Board of Anaesthesiology) and ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologists) for all patients undergoing sedation.
